O presidente da Câmara dos Deputados, Arthur Lira (PP-AL), comentou a decisão do ministro Edson Fachin, do STF (Supremo Tribunal Federal), que anulou as condenações do ex-presidente Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, tornando-o elegível.

"Minha maior dúvida é se a decisão monocrática foi para absolver Lula ou Moro. Lula pode até merecer absolvição. Moro, jamais", escreveu o deputado em um tuíte.

Ao conceder o habeas corpus a Lula, Fachin declarou que a 13ª Vara Federal de Curitiba, origem da Lava Jato, não tem competência para julgar os processos do tríplex do Guarujá (SP), do sítio de Atibaia (SP) e do Instituto Lula. Agora, caberá à Justiça Federal do Distrito Federal analisar os três casos.

O tuíte de Lira faz referência à possibilidade de que decisão de Fachin anule também a chance de um julgamento pela suspeição sobre o ex-juiz Sergio Moro na condução do caso. A defesa do ex-presidente queria que Moro fosse julgado pelo STF por considerar que ele foi parcial ao condenar Lula no caso do tríplex do Guarujá

Pela decisão, que ainda será avaliada pelo plenário do Supremo, Lula volta a ser elegível, podendo disputar as eleições de 2022 se assim desejar.
